Nephrology

A/Prof. Bhadran Bose is a senior staff specialist nephrologist at Nepean Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. He has specific clinical and research expertise in glomerular diseases.  

He completed his Nephrology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, followed by a fellowship in glomerular diseases at the University of Toronto, Canada. 

A/Prof. Bose was awarded a PhD from the University of Queensland for his thesis ‘Treatment of Glomerular Diseases’, with a specific focus on membranous nephropathy. He has contributed significantly to the scientific community through original research and systematic reviews published in leading international nephrology journals.  

He is the lead author of the recent CARI guidelines commentary on the KDIGO Clinical Practice Guideline for the Management of Glomerular Diseases, has co-authored nephrology chapters in academic textbooks, and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple academic journals. He founded the first Australia and New Zealand Glomerular Disease Workshop and is actively involved in teaching and mentorship.

Nephrology

Dr Lucy Wang is a nephrology staff specialist at Nepean Hospital. She is experienced in managing chronic kidney disease, diabetes-related kidney disorders, high blood pressure, patients on dialysis and those who have had a kidney transplant. She has a special interest in preeclampsia and pregnancy-induced hypertension. Dr Wang is fluent in Mandarin.

Dr Wang obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of New South Wales, and was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) following completion of her Nephrology training at Westmead, Nepean and Blacktown Hospitals.

She is actively involved in teaching with the University of Sydney Nepean Clinical School. She has published research in peer-reviewed journals and is currently undertaking research in glomerular disorders in pregnancy. She is a member of SOMANZ and the ISSHP.
