Dr. Varun Manoharan BMed MD (UNSW), PGCE (Int. Med.), FRACP
Dr. Varun Manoharan is a Consultant Endocrinologist. He earned his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and completed his prevocational training at Westmead Hospital. Following this, Dr. Manoharan pursued Basic Physician Training at Liverpool Hospital, advancing to specialised training in Endocrinology at both Nepean and Liverpool Hospitals. In 2022, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He currently serves as a Staff Specialist Endocrinologist at Nepean Public Hospital.
Dr. Manoharan is actively involved in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and the Divisional Clinical Examinations of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). His academic roles include Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of New South Wales.
Dr. Manoharan’s clinical interests span a wide range of endocrine conditions in patients 16 years and above. His practice focuses on diabetes management and comprehensive endocrinology care, encompassing disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. He also specialises in the management of endocrine-related aspects of post-bariatric surgery care, osteoporosis and pregnancy-related endocrine issues.
